blog 4

on thursday the 13th of november, i noticed something new an interesting speicemen is was called a Seed Shrimp. it crawled across the bottom and looked like it waseating the other organisms that got close. This one was huge one, but i did see around the algea that there were alot of smaller seed shrimps too being destructive like the midge were at the beginning of this project.

on thursday the 6 of november i didnt really see anything new in the aquarium, i noticed that a 1-2 of the midge had died off. But i did see an increase in the spiraling Urocentrum and the 1 huge Paramecium that was sucking up all it could at the bottom of the aquarium.

meant to post on thursday the 30 of october, but just now remembering to do it now. during this session the aquarium was given a pelt of fish food to boost the feeding of the living things in it. i did notice a large number of urocentrum, entosiphon, and euplotes in the water. i also found a few new ones and took pictures (but i dont have them =( ). the one i found this time was a vorticella and a actinoshaerium. these both looked really cool under the scope.

blog 1

the samples i used for my MicroAquarium project water sample from jar 12 and plants A and B. after a week i checked back and had notice that the Midge that were in there had gotten bigger and were eating machines. i also noticed a few other organsims from the aquarium like Euployes, Paramecium, Rotifers, Lacrymaria, and Uracentrum. hopefully by wedensday when i check on them again that their are more or less inside of it.
